Summary[]
Dorium gathers the babies for an announcement. Eldast interrupts him, telling him that he always gathers them to tell them about a new baby - who always turns out to be evil, and she is fed up of it. Dorium tells her that that's a shame, because he was going to ask them to look after Fluffette, a cute baby catkind, who Eldast instantly falls for. She warns off the other babies, intent on keeping Fluffette all to herself, as Chas tries to warn her to turn around and see that something strange is coming over Fluffette. Some time later, Eldast, angry and covered in scratches, leaves Fluffette trapped inside a makeshift cage. Strup assures her that at least she was right about Fluffette being evil, with Eldast snapping at him to "shut it" in response.
