Alice Liddell

Alice Liddell was a resident of Oxford in the 19th century. She was a neighbour of Lewis Carroll and inspired the titular character of his book Alice in Wonderland.

In 1862, Alice frequented Wildthyme's with her best friend Mariana Hepplewhite. Iris Wildthyme once loaned Alice a copy of James and the Giant Peach. Through contact with Iris, Alice learned about Alice in Wonderland three years before it was published.

When Iris brought Timmy to Oxford, Alice and Mariana helped Timmy dress in drag and apply for the job of governess at the Liddel household. On a midnight sometime after Timmy became Alice's governess, Timmy and Iris left Oxford to never return. (PROSE: The Wildthyme Effect)
