Albert was one of the human survivors after the Mutant Phase attacked the Earth in the 43rd century. He was a descendant of the British Royal Family.
At some point, when the Thal scientist Ptolem was discovering what had killed the mutant phase on Earth, he was used by the Daleks as an informant. He alerted them to where the Fifth Doctor was. He was shot by Karl Hendryk but survived. Albert was later exterminated by the Daleks when they had no further use for him. (AUDIO: The Mutant Phase)
