The Aeolians were a species that communicated using song.

Biology

The Aeolians were one-eyed, blue-skinned creatures that had loud and high-pitched mating calls. They were masters of amplification and used this to call their mates; their songs were powerful enough to pulverise distant stars. When low on energy, they could initiate a self-replicating feedback loop which derived its power from harvesting gravity; however, this was extremely dangerous as it could cause the destruction of an Earth-sized planet. The Aeolians seemed to speak in a song-like language. They were also able to live for millennia, as the Aeolian in 2050 was alive during the Centaurian Catastrophe. (K9TV: Aeolian)

Technology

Aeolians had an unspecified form of space travel which enabled them to travel ten thousand light-years within minutes. (K9TV: Aeolian)

History

At some point in Aeolian history, the Anubians attacked the Aeolians. (K9TV: Curse of Anubis)

The Aeolians were driven to near-extinction in the Centaurian Catastrophe of the 11th century. There were at least two survivors, a couple.

The Centaurian Catastrophe may have been related to the Anubian attack.

A female Aeolian came to Earth in 2050 and sent out sound waves in an attempt to attract her lost mate, causing massive storms across the United Kingdom. Her efforts eventually succeeded as her mate sent a signal from the Orpheus constellation, but she had to continue so he could recognise her. Before she could finish, she was discovered by Drake and his CCPC officers, who tried to apprehend her by stunning her. When they tried to kill her K9 threatened them and they backed down. Starkey played a new tune which brought her mate to Earth. Reunited, they left Earth after thanking Starkey. (K9TV: Aeolian)
