Ablif was a member of Nesbin's group of Outsiders.
Like all Time Lords, Ablif was taken from his family at the age of eight for the selection process in the Drylands. Staring into the Untempered Schism as part of a Time Lord initiation rite, Ablif reacted by running away from what he saw in the Schism.
Eventually, Ablif left the Capitol, and joined the Outsiders in the Drylands. (PROSE: A Brief History of Time Lords)
Ablif was one of the Outsiders that captured Leela and Rodan. He was later shot and killed by a Sontaran while trying to escape to the Doctor's TARDIS. (TV: The Invasion of Time)
