Aberystwyth's location. (TV: Army of Ghosts)

Aberystwyth was a coastal town in west Wales. (TV: Army of Ghosts)

History[]

In 1977, the Ninth Doctor and a very tall woman queued to watch Star Wars at the Commodore cinema in Aberystwyth. Huw Evans saw them and would write about his sighting on the website Doctor Who? in March 2005. (PROSE: Have You Seen This Man?)

Anji Kapoor went on a trip to Aberystwyth with her sixth form. (PROSE: History 101)

During the ghost shift craze of 2007, "ghosts" – actually Cybermen from Pete's World – were forecast as appearing in Aberystwyth. (TV: Army of Ghosts)

Gwen Cooper travelled to Aberystwyth University while investigating the death of Eugene Jones in the 2000s,[nb 1] attending a lecture entitled "Black Holes and the Uncertainty Principle". She consequently spent the night in the town. (TV: Random Shoes)

The town had thirty pubs. Iris Wildthyme was banned from two of them. She visited The Coopers Arms with Panda after the world had been "Welshed". (PROSE: Amser Gwyllt)

Footnotes[]

  1. Episodes 1-10 of the first series of Torchwood are set anywhere from 2006-2009 as a result of conflicting evidence shown in the episodes Ghost Machine, Greeks Bearing Gifts, Random Shoes, To the Last Man, Reset, Adrift, Fragments, Exit Wounds, and The New World. As episode 10, Out of Time, is set at the end of December, this means that episodes 11-13 are almost certainly set the year after episodes 1-10.
