Following the destruction of the Earth a revival movement arose among the [[Human]] populations of the known galaxies, who began to feel nostalgic for their lost home. When they found a [[planet]] which was the same size, same gravity, with the same atmosphere and similar orbit around its [[star]] in the [[Galaxy M87]], they colonised it, naming it [[New Earth]]. Major Events

The destruction of the Earth was witnessed by some of the richest figures in many galaxies who assembled on Platform One for the historic event. (DW: The End of the World)

Following the destruction of the Earth a revival movement arose among the Human populations of the known galaxies, who began to feel nostalgic for their lost home. When they found a planet which was the same size, same gravity, with the same atmosphere and similar orbit around its star in the Galaxy M87, they colonised it, naming it New Earth. (DW: New Earth)

In the course of this, some of Agatha Christie's books are published again, one of which (a reprint of Death in the Clouds from 1935) ends up in a chest in the TARDIS. The existence of the book also establishes that print media remains viable in this time, though whether as a going concern or any for "retro" value is unknown. (DW: The Unicorn and the Wasp)
