In 1887, Julia Hardwick, a young woman from the early 21st century who had recently been transported back in time by the Weeping Angels, tried to convince people that she was from the future. Her story caught the attention of a local newspaper in Hull, which published a story about her on this date. The article noted that her claims were being taken seriously. In 1940, during World War II, the Germans attacked the Channel Islands. The Luftwaffe heavily bombed a harbour in Guernsey, as a precursor to full occupation two days later. (PROSE: Just War)
According to one account, the the destruction of the Big Ben by an alien craft took place on 28 June 2006, (PROSE: Operation London) though another account dated it to sometime prior to 26 May, (PROSE: Number Ten Pays Tribute to UNIT) though most accounts agreed it took place on 6 March.
