- 29-31 July - Huw Edwards, a former BBC presenter who had resigned in 2023 due to a controversy involving a minor, was charged with three counts of making indecent images of children on the 29th of July, and on the 31st of that same month he pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing these indecent images.
August[]
- 2 August - Fear Her, an episode from the second series of the revived run of Doctor Who, was removed from BBC iPlayer as the company had begun removing any of Huw Edwards' appearances from their archives following his guilty plea on the 31st of July, with this episode featuring him in a guest role as a fictional version of himself. A spokesperson for the BBC would confirm the episode would be reuploaded at a later date once Edwards' part was redubbed by a different actor.
