February - Birthright, a dramatised audio adaptation of the 1993 novel of the same title, was released by Big Finish Productions.
1 February:
- The Taint and The Wages of Sin was first published by BBC Books.
- The Mary-Sue Extrusion was first published by Virgin Books.
10 February - The documentary The National Lottery Amazing Luck Stories was first broadcast on BBC One.
11 February - DWM 275 was first released by Marvel Comics.

1 March:
- Demontage, Deep Blue and the anthology More Short Trips were first published by BBC Books.
- Dead Romance was first published by Virgin Books.
- The Keys of Marinus was released on VHS.
11 March - DWM 276 was first released by Marvel Comics.
12 March - The Curse of Fatal Death, a spoof of Doctor Who, was broadcast as part of the BBC's Comic Relief appeal.

7 June - Unnatural History and Storm Harvest was first published by BBC Books.
