In the late 1930s, the Third Doctor and Jo Grant visited Paris and encountered Iris Wildthyme. Together, they went to Rue de Fleurus and partied with Gertrude Stein, Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau, and Alice Toklas. At some point during the decade, New York City was shrunken down and menaced by a gorilla.
