In June, Lord James Gordon led a group of followers into the British House of Commons and held the leading politicians of the country hostage. For a week, the so-called Gordon Riots tore through London. Entire neighbourhoods were burnt down and every prison was razed. Innocent bystanders were hacked to bits and criminals ran rampant.
