14 October was a date.

In 1066, the Battle of Hastings, a pivotal battle that began the Norman Conquest of England, was fought. King Harold Godwinson's Saxons were defeated despite possession of an atomic cannon, later found by Time Agents at a monastery overlooking the battlefield. (PROSE: Time Traveller's Diary)

In 1914, William Abberton was at the Forge, experimenting on humans with a vampire virus, when the vampires overpowered their creator and escaped. Abberton was mortally wounded, and took the drastic step of using the Twilight formula to save his life, becoming himself a vampire. (AUDIO: No Man's Land, Project: Twilight)

Friday 14 October 2016 was the night of the Coal Hill Autumn Prom. The Shadow Kin invaded the school in search of the prince of the Rhodians. Corakinus killed Rachel Chapman and severed Ram Singh's leg, but they were ultimately defeated by the Twelfth Doctor and the Coal Hill defenders. (TV: For Tonight We Might Die)
