Events

In 1692, the First Doctor, Susan Foreman, Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright arrived in Salem Village, Massachusetts. As the TARDIS needed its image translator readjusted, the Doctor made his companions exit the ship and explore outside. While they were outside, he intended to dematerialise, and come back using the fast-return switch after a month from his perspective of fixing it. (PROSE: The Witch Hunters [+]Steve Lyons, BBC Past Doctor Adventures (BBC Books, 1998).)

In 1894, when the Eighth Doctor and Sam Jones arrived in London, the Zygons were snatching cadavers from their graves. Working together with an old friend, Professor George Litefoot, the Doctor managed to save London from the unearthly "body snatchers". (PROSE: The Bodysnatchers [+]Mark Morris, BBC Eighth Doctor Adventures (BBC Books, 1997).)

In the 51st century, the Dagmar Cluster hosted the great spaceship race. Those in attendance were advised to beware ion storms and cannibal spaceships. (PROSE: Time Traveller's Diary [+]Chris Farnell, BBC Children's Books (2020).)

Births and deaths

In 1962, Meredith Roberts was born. (TV: Reset [+]J. C. Wilsher, Torchwood series 2 (BBC Three, 2008).)

According to one account, George was "born" on or prior to 11 January 2003, (TV: Night Terrors [+]Mark Gatiss, Doctor Who series 6 (BBC One, 2011).) but according to another, he was "born" on 11 February 2003. (PROSE: Night Terrors [+]David Bailey, adapted from Night Terrors (Mark Gatiss), The Brilliant Book 2012 fiction (BBC Books, 2011).)

Behind the scenes

According to The Brilliant Book 2011,[which?] which is not considered a valid source on this wiki, the First Doctor encountered Winston Churchill in 1911. He stepped out of the doors of the TARDIS, and told Churchill it was an honour to meet him. When Churchill informed him they had met before, the Doctor chuckled and said, "That's the trouble with time travel".
