10 March was notable for a number of highly varied events on Earth and in its vicinity.

In 1702, the Fifth Doctor and Vislor Turlough departed London after defeating Sir Nikolas Valentine. (AUDIO: Phantasmagoria)

In 1935, Death in the Clouds, a mystery novel by Agatha Christie, was first published. Although she had forgotten the events of her adventure with the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble in 1926, a subconscious memory of those events inspired her to write this book, which was destined to remain in print to the year 5,000,000,000. A facsimile edition of Death in the Clouds published in this year was obtained by the Doctor. (TV: The Unicorn and the Wasp)

In 1942, the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams arrived on a sabotaged submarine deep in the North Sea. Gein had sabotaged the ship in order to reach his spaceship, a Class III Bandradian freighter. Instead, the Doctor offered him a lift there in his TARDIS. (COMIC: Sub-species)

In 2957, the Fourth Doctor, Adric and K9 landed on Space Station Alpha in time for the thousandth anniversary of humanity's first journey into space. Genesis III, a supercomputer tasked with finding new places for humanity to colonise, used a Composition Adjustment Teleport to miniaturise scientists and other humans. It created a world for these people that was the size of an atom. However, the Doctor told him the story of Puss in Boots, confusing the computer and rendering it harmless. (PROSE: Inter-Galactic Cat)
