@Lil' Golden Rat Hi, thanks for the welcome! It actually helps a lot to know I'm not the only one who feels like this. It feels good. ^_^ It helps work through it all.

Yeah, the third Doctor and Sarah are a great team. I bet you were happy with the release that came out last year from Big Finish with that TARDIS team. Sadie Miller as Sarah Jane is a perfect fit. :D The fact they do such a fantastic Job with all the past Doctors and Companions is amazing. It's not surprising that their license to continue to make more audios for the next decade. Because of that, I have to keep reminding myself that there could be more stories with my favourite TARDIS teams. And there are times where I feel uncertain that if it would happen or not.

Mind you, I don't know what happens behind the scenes in terms of actor availability, audio production and all the work that goes into making these. So I some digging and and the more you know, the more it makes sense. Some actors are busy doing other things and have no time to make the audios and others were really hesitant about doing big finish in the first place. Mark Strickson often travels abroad doing wildlife docos so it starts to make more sense. So maybe that's why it feels like there are more stories with 5th Doctor and Nyssa for example because they were more available to do it than the others. When you see the big picture, it makes more sense why it has happened the way it has.

Compared to other shows, especially sci fi programs like Sliders, they don't get a second chance to expand on their story. We as Doctor Who Fans are extremely lucky that Big Finish is around.

And thanks for the encouragement to write my own stories. I think might give it a go. Especially since there is the short trips competition that pops up every year. I think I might give it a go, see how that turns out. Thanks again for your reply. :)

There are so many Doctor Who fans who would pool their money together to help fund the creation of these animations that I have no doubt it's possible. :)

@The switchify Thanks for replying and yeah that's another TARDIS team that I know people would like to see more adventures of. Hopefully now Christopher Eccleston is now back in the role at Big Finish, maybe it'll happen further down the track.

@DoctorReySkater Hi thanks for the welcome and for replying! Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. 11 and Clara were a great team and a great follow up after Amy and Rory with 11. So you can imagine my reaction when I heard Matt Smith was leaving. I like the idea of coming up with different scenarios. I've often thought that different TARDIS teams had loads of adventures offscreen and what we saw on TV were like the highlights of their time together if that makes sense. And big finish is proof of that concept.

I've often tossed with the idea of writing stories myself but I'm always on the fence about it. I often felt embarrassed and silly that I want to do something like that and from what I've seen of fanfic online, some stories can get a bit intense for my liking. (not knocking any fanfic authors for a second). But thanks for the advice all the same and if anyone has any ideas and views to add, please do.

They say BBC America does the funding for the animation. Does that sound right to anyone? I know they screen the episodes on BBC America, they did it with the faceless ones for example, I feel like the funding would come from the BBC itself in the UK. According to the radio times, BBC studio refused to comment so maybe it isn't true or if it is, it isn't necessarily game over as of yet.

Desire for More Stories with my Favourite TARIDS Teams!

I’m passionate about movies and stories. I enjoy shows like Doctor Who. I’m invested in the stories and the characters so much. It’s a nice escapism for me when life is gets so tough. But I feel like lately like I’m constantly desiring more stories and more time with the characters I love to watch. I hate endings and I always fear that there won’t be any more stories with the characters I love. This leans to mostly towards something like Doctor Who more than anything else. There are so many characters that come and go, some sooner than others and I always seem to gravitate towards TARDIS teams that don’t have as many stories as other teams do. Like I'm a fan of TARDIS teams like:

5th Doctor, Adric, Nyssa and Tegan
5th Doctor, Tegan and Turlough
6th Doctor and Mel
1st Doctor, Steven and Dodo
1st Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Vicki
1st Doctor, Polly and Ben
3rd Doctor and Sarah Jane
11th Doctor and Clara

I enjoy stories that involve those sort of TARDIS teams that I have listed above and I'm totally grateful for Big Finish for making all the audio dramas over the years on Doctor Who expanding the lore and what not. But I feel like the number of stories involving my favourite TARDIS crews isn't as high compared to the amount of stories that have TARDIS teams like 3rd Doctor and Jo or 5th Doctor and Nyssa or 6th Doctor and Peri or 12th Doctor and Clara. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of the characters and teams throughout Doctor Who's run. Thanks to the tv show and big finish, we have so many adventures now and it continues to grow to this day. But I desire to have my favourite TARDIS crews to be in as many stories as the others. I mean there are so many of the 5th Doctor and Nyssa and the 6th Doctor and Peri for example. I just wish there were just as many for the TARDIS teams I have listed above. Am I the only one who feels that way and does anyone know how I can deal with it because it's been on my mind for a while now?
