Sydney Newman - Traveller in Time

As we all know, Sydney Newman, the creator of Doctor Who, originally planned for the show to use time travel to be educational, with no "Bug-eyed monsters" or large sci-fi elements (bar time travel), but just historical and scientific TV episodes. Then of course, the Daleks came along and changed everything.

Now imagine if Sydney somehow time-travelled from 1963 to 2020 (before Lockdown) and saw what the show had become - all the bug-eyed monsters, science fiction elements, regeneration, lore and media, higher budget, and of course the writing. But he also saw how popular the show had become, how long it had survived, and how much the fans adored (and occasionally hated) it.

How do you think Sydney would react?

'The Adventures of the Tennants'

The Doctor comes to our universe and gives David and Georgia Tennant a present, which is a thing that every now and then, when it needs to, opens a portal to the Doctor's universe, at a place that is in danger. The Doctor also leaves them with a sonic screwdriver and a piece of psychic paper, so they can save worlds when he's not around.

When the portal opens, the Tennants jump into it, and save a place or person that is in danger. Sometimes it takes them to the past, other times to the future, and other times to the present. Sometimes it takes them to earth, other times it takes them to other worlds. When they have finished an adventure, the Portal opens again, and they jump through it back to their world, and have only been gone five seconds. The Portal appears at random points at the Tennant household.

Sometimes other members of the Tennant family go through it with them, and sometimes even Peter Davison goes too! Mabye sometimes, other people that are not members of the Tennant (or Davison) family go through too (probably by accident)!

The Minister of War

In Before the Flood, Alice O'Donnell mentioned notable events that happened on earth (Saxon, Moon egg etc.). She also mentioned "The Minister of War", which the Doctor hadn't heard of. Since then, we have not heard of it since. Who do you think the Minister of War could be? Could he be a new character altogether? Or someone we know of...

My theory is this: He is an alien disguised as a human (Wow, how original me. 😒) and he has crashed to earth, and decides to put everyone at war with themselves. He is stopped though, because the Doctor manages to send him to the end of the universe (To the planet "Utopia") and he meets the Daleks, led by the Eternal Dalek. (That's another story.) and ally's with them to trap the Doctor (Another "Another story") and then is converted into a Dalek himself, and kills the Doctor (Way more stories for that.) Before being destroyed by the Eternal Dalek for "Stealing his thunder".
