S14 is not RTD's greatest work, hope s15 is an improvement.

I can't vote as I don't think it's strong but i don't think it's weak either. It's middle of the road for me. The finale was good not great. It did enough to not fall into it's weak, but not enough to push it into it's strong.

S5 just edgeed out s3 for me.

@Icecreamdif Unfortunate side effect of Ncuti finishing up Sex Education and working on Doctor Who s14 at around the same time. We were lucky to have s14 air this year, they could've easily waited until Ncuti finished up on Sex Education before they started filming s14 and have s14 release next year.

The ending was really forbobing, you could sense something bad was going to happen to them, just like the homeworld. Not sure wat it is tho, maybe it has something to do with this "empire of death".

I was a bit taken aback about wat happened to Ricky September but wasn't too surprising in retrospect considering how she was the whole episode. "I got sore fingers from working 2 hrs a day""i can't walk without the bubble". Blocks the Doctor when they try to earn her. Complains about having to physically look around without the bubble. one of her friends says he can't get get in contact with some of his friends. "your no fun". So selling someone who was helping her so save her own skin shouldn't have been so surprising.

No wonder the AI started killing them off, having to deal with people like Lindy 24/7 would drive anyone mad. Can't believe I'm saying this but I kinda feel a bit sympathetic to the AI.

I felt this episode was a 60 minute episode jammed into a 45 minute timeslot. The villain wasn't fully developed and the resolution felt rushed. The rest was great.

Yea, sorry about that. Just saying that everyone has an opinion and they may or may not be right. I'm just going to suggest you make your own conclusions.

I found Doctor Who classic on tv one day and fell in love with it, that was a week before Season 1 aired in Aus.

I say Boom is better. In just about ebery other episode we and the Doctor are running around all over the place, but in this one, everything happens around the Doctor in that one spot. Moffat rose to the challenge of delivering an entertaining episode that involved most of it happening in one exact spot and nailed the landing.

I didn't like how it ended up being a us or them situation towards the end and into the next episode. I recently watched The Silurians from the 3rd Doctor era and it was eeringly similar to the plot of these two episodes. Both feature a militant group of silurians trying to eradicate humanity, both has the Doctor try to negotiate a peace, both involve the us or them situation, both have the silurians put back into hibernation, both involve the miltiary undergoing coups of varying success, both involve abductions.

@Granpa Lo70 I thought the muted scene was an interesting unique plot device, the problem i have with it is that it doesn't achieve anything, I would;ve expected the Doctor and Ruby to try and make a break for it while the Maestro was busy trying to figure out what happened to the sound, but instead they stayed where they were. In the end it was the old lady playing the piano that allowed them to get away. So in the end it was a unique but useless plot device that was only there just to fill time.

Britbox in Australia doesn't have any Doctor Who on it, classic or modern. Doctors 9-13 are on Stan, and the TV movie. No streaming option for classic but i have just about all the DVD's for classic.

@WaltK I like the idea of any image becoming an angel. That being said, i didn't care for the concept of looking at an angel for too long made you become one.
