What did for me was what happened to Adric (in Earthshock), Amy and Rory (in The Angels Take Manhattan). For my sister, it was the Doctor and Rose being forced to part ways in Doomsday.
Clyde Langer, the joker of Sarah Jane's team of alien fighters.
Yes, but Whittaker could possibly have her reputation fixed by Big Finish (who did that for Colin Baker and Paul McGann and could also for David Tennant 2 and Ncuti Gatwa) and I think she and the others should first get original stories done first for that to happen (I’ve heard her comics were better for her).

Yes, and he was always glad to see me.
Conventions, five times (which is quite a few times when meeting a celebrity).
The voice of the Daleks and Cybermen (amongst others) and all around big contributor to Doctor Who. (P.S. I've met him a lot.)
Commander Strax, the good Sontaran, and the voice actor of the Sontarans in the audios.
Jamie McCrimmon, the show's longest running companion, and Rose Tyler, the first companion of the Revived Series (the former of whom is 80).
The only companion of the Doctor to never leave Earth, Liz Shaw.
Ram Singh, the boy who hears silent applause when he walks into a room and a man character in Class.
The one and only gobby Australian, Tegan Jovanka.

You know, the Tibetan monks believe that there’s not much to care about concerning the bodies of their dead after they die and so leave them to the vultures. I doubt that they would’ve objected if they thought it was for good use.
"Starkey", also known as "Stark Reality", from the short-lived spin-off K9.
The 7th Doctor, his main companion (and the prototype for Revived Series companions) Ace and the longest-running Master.
As if we didn’t get enough problems during Chris Chibnall’s era (which if drastically redone could’ve been better). This was worse; Rose and Donna lecturing the Doctor over how he apparently knows nothing as a man as opposed to a woman (including transgender), Sylvia annoyingly stating that Wilf wasn’t dead when it sounded as if he was and every other problem that followed.
I mean, I understand why we have had them; it’s to show how dangerous travelling with the Doctor (or even being involved with the alien-fighting business) can be as it might just be treated as an adventure at times. It’s just a commenter on a video featuring Owen and Tosh’s respective fates in Exit Wounds called out that reasoning; it has been rather clear without the main character demises that it’s dangerous as there have been other people that have died (innocents and people who have tried to help combat the threats) and it’s very terrifying. Or do you think we still need the message of the dangers reinforced by the main character deaths?
"Charlie Smith", the prince without his people.
