One of the best specials, I think. It had a pretty good beginning and excellent effects+acting. One thing that really kind of bugged me though, was the resolution of the story- the bi-generation gimmick+the way a new tardis got formed out of nowhere just felt really..... lazy. Tennant was fantastic here but the writing here felt really weird. I'm excited for what comes next but frankly, it could have been done a LOT better. The plus sides were the Timeless Child being fixed up and the master returning imo. I just wish that they had maybe leaned into the idea that the Toymaker had been manipulating the Doctor's life instead of referencing the idea of it.
Seriously, 2 knees on each leg? yikes
Once again, I enjoyed it, I don't regret watching it, but it has the same problem as the last for me in that it didn't really feel like part of the 3 part season premier. If this appeared in the middle of a season I wouldn't beat an eyelid. Although the return of Wild and a dedication to Bernard Cribbins, love it, love it, love it. R.I.P.. overall another 7\10, could be better but there's nothing really wrong with it, unless you count that atrocious CGI
Yall, I was not impressed with the new episode. It was fine but it wasnt amazing, I dont think it was RtD's best work and could have been better.
What is with the skelition??? That feels like a rookie mistake.
I am also confused about the Non-things or whatever they are called --how did they know what the Doctor and Donna where thinking? I would understand them picking up the traits and what they would say over a long period of time but over an hour?
And how did they even get on the ship? If it wasnt by the airlock and they arent from a planet then how did they board?
Well, unlike everyone here, I loved it. The refreshing dynamic between the Doctor and Donna, the setting, the mystery, the body horror
Yes the cgi did look unpolished, but it's not Star Wars or Marvel. It's a crummy little BBC TV show, that relies solely on compromising its budget every episode. And this episode proves that you don't need it, to make something good
