I *won't* anger the gods by saying I like this more than Blink (although...) but I will say it's certainly my favourite Angel story since. Jericho (excellent Kevin McNally from The Twin Dilemma fame) and Claire-voyant (sensational Annabel Scholey—if you haven't seen The Sixth Commandment then you should) are superb characters and it's a relief that we get more time with each. It may cause people who care about "the rules" of Angels to spit feathers, but the graphite and flaming projections, as well as the one bursting out of the TV, are outstanding visuals, and worthy additions to the lore. The blue-tinted conversation between Whittaker and Scholey (brilliant performances both) takes on a biblical significance, and is beautifully shot. It's a stunner, but the cliffhanger that elevates it to a classic IMO.
