Time Lord

When dying of old age or mortally wounded, Time Lords use a process called regeneration to to “cheat death” by transforming into a new incarnation.

It's way more than that.

Post regeneration:

• Time Lords can get strength boosted by the rush of regenerative energy to knock the metal door of the freezer off its hinges.

• Time Lords can residual regenerative energy to regrow lost limbs and shrug off being shot.

• Time Lords can survive the fall from the stratosphere to the train due to the regeneration energy still being active.

The regeneration energy itself can be used as weapon;

• Time Lords can use regenerative energy to channel it into a focused blast of energy that knocked out the entire squad.

• The regeneration energy can destroy an entire Dalek fleet,

The time lords are humans from the far future (e.g. 67854732th century)who don't remember their exact past because of how old the species is.So,Gallifrey is Earth.The Master is ,,human".

The Doctor is tough enough to survive the fall from the atmosphere, bolts of lightning, and a full strike from a laser beam.

As The Doctor has proven in almost all situations, they are tough to control or kill. Thanks to some of his Time Lord biology, the Doctor has shown a lot of resistance to many hax and abilities over their time-fighting.

The Doctor could resist time being frozen by Kronos and Lamprey. The Doctor could also move in when time was being reversed and stopped time in “Invasion of the Dinosaurs”.

Because the Time Lords bonded with time, it makes them harder to erase. The Doctor once put his hand in one of the Cracks of Time; the effects of the cracks were erasing things from life itself, including time and memories of their past.

Regeneration allows the Doctor to essentially cheat death by having every cell in their body undergo “a renewal”, completely changing his physical appearance as well as bringing different aspects of his personality to the forefront for each each incarnation.

While still within the regenerative process, Time Lords can grow back lost limbs and even survive being riddled with bullets.

The Doctor has an infinite number of regenerations.

The biggest downside is that they can still be killed if they refuse to do it at all, or fatally hit in the expelling of regenerative energy phase.

Despite being nearly impossible to erase from any timeline, burning out both the Doctor’s hearts will stop him from regenerating, as well as killing him before he can finish regenerating. [1] [2]

How exactly was the Doctor able to visit the Time Lords on Gallifrey in Hell Bent?

Yes, the Doctor saved Gallifrey after the events of the 50th anniversary, but I'm pretty sure the Time Lords still died. So unless they were saved as well, how did he bypass the timelock?

• A new Time Lord

• The Rani

I'm just trying this because scouring the categories wasn't working.

In April, while I was browsing randomly on the wiki, I came across a page about a book that I think was choose your own adventure but the Doctor wasn't the main character, but another Time Lord that was either a CIA member or recruited at some point in the book and their human companion.

I found that book interesting and saved the page, but my wifi crapped out, and it apparently didn't save, and I'd like to rediscover. I don't remember the book's name, perhaps someone else recalls it?

I found out that it is true to regenerate into a child, cause the master did in the titan comics and melody pond as well, if i recall it correctly they regenerate when they deal with a critical damnage and regenerates into a child body, or perhaps i'm wrong

Ok before you get confused what i mean is that, The 5th doctor regenerated into a copy of maxil, ya know cause him and the 6th doctor BOTH are played by colin baker, and romana, as for her she regenerated into astra even the 4th doctor noticed that, what's even more confusing is if you have read "lungbarrow" one of the doctor's cousins glospin who always bullied him since they were kids, he managed to regenerate Into an exact copy of the 1st doctor to kill Quences and frame the doctor for his death, my question is... Can a time lord regerate into another time lord's first incarnation?

(I am not counting Lobus Caecilius, since he's human and i'm talking about time lords regenerating into other time lords)

Steven x Vicki (Sticki) because they might be destined as king Diomedes and Queen Cressida of Argolis.

Dodo x Graham (not the Companion, the guy that worked in the Dodo Chaplet funeral home) because I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be a couple.

Ben x Polly because it's also an iconic ship and they were there for the original Regeneration.

Second Doctor x Jamie because welp. They totally married each other in Season 6B, in a life where he had his 8+ kids with the Doctor, before getting resetted and having them with Kristy instead.

Benton x Yates because they were totally a gay couple.

Sarah x Harry because I think they could have had the chance to become the next Ben x Polly if Ian Marter lived a bit longer.

Harry x Ben because well they're both born in 1942 and it was said that Harry only works on sailors so maybe it could work as an alternative, Harry and Ben are secretly gay for each other, Polly and Sarah were "the beard".

Fourth Doctor x Romana because well they're coworker Time Lords with tons of chemistry.

Adric x Nyssa (Nysric) because I think there was something before Adric died.

Tegan x Nyssa because they had chemistry and were totally space lesbians.

Sixth or Twelfth Doctor x Tegan because they'd have more chemistry than what was seen in the show.

Doctor (Fifth? Sixth? Tenth? Eighth? Twelfth?) x Peri because face it they kinda deserve each other and have chemistry, Nicola Bryant is adorable and peaked at 53 year old and has a bit of a crush on Twelfth\Capaldi and they would have such chemistry, perhaps better than what the Doctor has with River or what Peri once had with the Sixth.

Mel x Ace because well they were the last Classic Who Companions and they met and seemed to have chemistry and would bring the best in each other.

Rose Tyler x Mickey Smith because they were the first couple of the revival, they're like Ian and Barbara genderbent version. If there was Susan around then Rose would have become like Ian.

Martha x Riley Vashtee because they had chemistry together and Riley should really have been a Companion.

Martha Jones x Steven Taylor because she'd see it as a better version of her relationship with Riley (two men with simple, calm personalities, wawy brown hair and grey eyes, that work in red spaceships\space stations), which works over Riley because with Steven being a former Companion it would cause less changes to the timeline, and also because Steven is closer to Martha's time than Riley's, and because they (well, Freema Agyeman and Peter Purves) were hanging out together at the have tea with the Doctors thing and seemed to have chemistry, and actually the relationship could work, the two companions with more calmer and normal personalities and thus more normal-sounding names, they could work off the Tenth Doctor's more dramatic personality.

Martha Jones x Thomas Milligan because they travelled together for an year and he's basically the present-day version of Riley and Steven, since Thomas also has a simple, calm, and heroic personality, and also has wawy brown hair, so basically Martha Jones has a type. She got with Mickey because Tish berated her for getting with Steven since he's not supposed to be born until like 2339 or whatever.

Amy Pond x Rory Williams because well they're also an iconic TARDIS pair and two of the best Companions.

Eleventh Doctor x Rose Tyler because they'd have more chemistry than with Tenth or Ninth.

Nazreen Chaudry x Ace McShane because it kinda works and it ties her with the world of Companions.

Twelfth Doctor x River Song because they're basically married with a 24 year honeymoon. And have so much chemistry.

Clara Oswald x Bill Potts because it's what they deserve. Well technically they have Ashildr and Heather but I think they would have gotten together, if they worked in the same school. And they would pilot the same TARDIS.

Bill Potts x Ace McShane because well they're a lot alike.

Yazmin Khan x Ryan Sinclair because they should've been another inseparable TARDIS couple like Amy\Rory.

Graham O'Brien x Dan Lewis because gay space grandpas.
