So in the Eleventh Doctor's speech in the episode "The Rings of Akhaten", the Doctor says the line "I walked in universes where the laws of physics were devised by the mind of a mad man". Who is this referring to? I initially thought he was referring to The Toymaker. Is it?
The most impressive factor of this episode must be the visuals. Akhaten's "😮" form is magnificently achieved, and to be fair, most of the costumes actually look quite good, although that one that's just the Hoix with random bits shoved on its mush literally just looks like that. Also, the Vigil look excellent, and the girl who plays Merry (I don't remember her name unfortunately, but I think she's Aled Jones's daughter) is fantastic too. The episode has a warm colour palette, which works really well with the tone.
Oh, and the Doctor doing the classic "looking over the newspaper" routine, but with the Beano, is very sweet. And very Doctorly.

After the Doctor and Clara kill the Old God planet the Rings of Akhaten orbit around, what happens to the people left behind? Do they all just drift into space and die? Any theories on what might’ve happened?
On The Rings of Akhaten. I love that story and think its brilliant but I’m sure some of you could disagree, so, what do you think?!
