Just thought I'd share for anyone who hadn't come across any articles surrounding this who likely acquired this information from a tweet made by the Doctor Who twitter account, it has been confirmed by several media outlets that after briefly returning in The Power Of The Doctor, UNIT will be returning during 15's tenure as the doctor, and Kate will return after having last been seen in both Flux and TPOTD (There is no word as to whether or not UNIT will return during 14's three specials unfortunately, but as the articles only discuss it in relation to 15's upcoming tenure its unlikely as it says next series and does not mention the specials which probably aren't really being seen as a series per-se)! It has also been announced that there will be a new character within UNIT named Roger Ap Gwlliam who we currently know nothing about:

Sidenote: As I saw a mention of this discussions category yesterday, and was previously unaware of its existence and often glossed over it, I thought I'd share this whilst also placing it in spoilers as its from the press who technically got their information from the DW Twitter account (For those interested article #3 actually contains a screenshot of the tweet within it). Also as the new character is mentioned in the articles, I felt as if I needed to mention him too despite the fact that we currently know nothing about him other than his name!
