I love the Whoniverse so I didn't want my only series of posts on here to be negative!

Here's what I'm thinking; the Sycorax's ship was above London, so how could Jack have got it? I think that Torchwood got it since they worked out that it was alien (whether they found it themselves or took it from whoever did get it). Even if they figured if it was The Doctor's, but they did believe that anything alien was theirs. As for how Jack got it, Ianto said in his flashback in Fragments that two of Torchwood Three's members scavenged the wreckage of Torchwood One following The Battle of Canary Wharf. In a deleted scene from Meat, Torchwood Three took at least the guns initially created by the Preachers but then wielded by the Cybermen during the fight. They could've taken The Doctor's hand as well. As for how Jack knew it was The Doctor's, I think that Jack would've thought why they had it and scanned it to find the Time Lord DNA and realised it was The Doctor's and that he could've used it. But that's just me. Anyone else have any ideas?

MINOR SPOILERS FOR TORCHWOOD SERIES 2, 3, AND 4 AS WELL AS DOCTOR WHO SERIES 3, 4
After watching Torchwood, this has been a huge question on my mind. Why does he hold so much respect for the Doctor? They,
Abandoned Jack in the distant future aboard a space station (Parting of the ways)
Tried to abandon him again after he begs to become mortal again (Utopia)
Disabled his vortex manipulator, trapping him in the current era, AFTER he helped to stop the Master (Last of the Time Lords)
Stood by while the events of the Torchwood series 2 finale took place (Exit Wounds)
Disabled Jack's vortex manipulator after he helped stopped the Dalek invasion (Stolen Earth/Journey's End)
Stood by during the horrible events of Torchwood Series 3 and let Jack make unspeakable sacrifices (Day 4 and Day 5)
Waved goodbye to Jack only after they started regenerating (The end of time)
Let the events of Miracle Day unfold in their entirety, not doing anything to stop it or save lives
And after all of this, he comes back to aid the Doctor once more (revolution of the Daleks). Why? Why does he help the very person who has made his own life a living hell? Why doesn't he abandon the Doctor, or become an antagonist? I'd really appreciate your answers/theories as I'm really confused about this. Cheers!
