What for you is David Tennant’s defining moment as the doctor? (For simplicity’s sake this will include the 10th, meta-crisis, and 14th doctors as this is about the actor not the incarnation)
Now Tennant has many moments that I would say are defining. But the one that comes to my mind is in “the doctors daughter” when he has the opportunity to kill a man who killed someone he loved and he says “I never would” it’s a great moment because it really defines Tennant’s Doctor after Eccleston he will not kill even for revenge, but it’s also a great bit of foreshadowing to the end of time when he’s given a gun and has to decide what he’s gonna do with it.
If I were to pick a moment for him as the 14th doctor then it has to be his card game with the toymaker. Just a great scene and shows how he plans for everything, even a defeat.
You can use your own definition of “definitive” but I’m curious what people think since a lot of people have been talking about Ncuti Gates’s “defining moment” lately (we’ll get to him later😉)
