Today is the birthday of actress Jenna Coleman, who played Clara Oswald, Companion of the Eleventh Doctor and of the Twelfth Doctor, on Doctor Who!

So a couple of years ago, I think right as the Twelfth Doctors seasons were coming out but I can’t remember exactly, me and my family would watch one or two episodes of Doctor Who every other night, starting with the Ninth Doctor. We got halfway through Eleven’s second season when we just stopped watching it, you know life and all that. I started watching it again and I’m almost done with Eleven’s last season and I’m honestly quite sad since he’s my favorite, I haven’t seen any of these episodes but I loved all of the ones with Amy and Rory, but I don’t know how I feel about Clara. I noticed that I never see anyone’s opinions on her so I would like to hear what others think of her.

Although i love and aprecciate many things that many former companions like rose tyler and martha jones have done, i personally beleive that a smaller character should get thier own spin off. Whovians have seen many side characters come and go, many of their exits have left us on the edge of our seets, in confusion or even expecting them to return to the show in the future, however, sadly, more often than not, they dont return. Characters like Jenny (the doctors daughter), her ending left us in a mix of emotions, some sad, some happy, but mostly excited for her possible return. As of yet Jenny hasnt returned but i think she has the potential to get her own spin off. Lady Christina De Suza, this awesome character was introduced in the 2009 episode 'planet of the dead', (in the end) got away in the flying bus '200', pretty hard to miss if you ask me !! Dee potential for a spin off, just imagine it, Christina leading the show, having marvellous adventures in the flying bus across the planet. Ashldr, aka 'the girl who died' or 'the woman who lived', is an immortal being who the doctor saved, now this was wasted potential. First of all, the fact that in the show her and captain jack never met was THEFT and secondly the fact that technically her and Clara are still travelling the universe together is even more wasted potential. They could definitely have gotten their own spin off, a show dedicated to the two travelling the universe together, since they even have their own tardis.

Do you guys think that Amy and Rory should have completed season 7 and Clara will appear in season 8?

Clara's respective first comic stories in IDW and Doctor Who Magazine where released just a month apart and both featured aviation as a major part of their plots.

I think season 9 doesn’t get enough love, due to it’s fear the raven episode capturing the drama as Clara goes to face her doom knowing she’ll die, and who they use the doctor’s heartbreak to make him vulnerable to the vail. The finale wasn’t that great though.
