I sometimes feel as getting the audio stories you want can be very difficult, especially in the last few years, some stories are hard to find due to being out of print (which is acceptable) such as The Nightmare Fair, but then you have the newer releases such as Deathworld and Operation Werewolf which unfortunately are very cumbersome to find, and which aren’t sold here in America by major retailers and only on BF website.

In a surprise announcement, Big Finish has revealed that their license does indeed now go up to “power of the.l Doctor” (whereas before it ended at “twice upon a time”) as Jodie Whittaker and Mandi Gill are officially joining big finish!

Theyll have 12 one-hour long audio dramas which start releasing in July 2025. (My guess is they’ll most likely be set in between “revolution of the daleks” and “flux”)I am actually really excited for this because Jodie has so much potential as the doctor and I don’t feel Chibnall knew what to do with her so I think getting a new lease on life in audio is exactly what 13 needs. Very similar to how Six and Eight went from peoples least favorite doctors to being the most complex doctors thanks the the big finish writers.

I think it will be great to see how new writers go about writing Jodie’s incarnation and will be interested to see how long she sticks around.

Add this to the previously announced “fugitive Doctor adventures” and “call me master” and we’ve got some REALLY good representation of the Chibnall era coming our way in 2025! I’m all for it!

So just in general what is everyone's first audio stories of doctor who they ever listened to mine was the silver Turk but i'd like to hear others.

Hey there, does anyone know (if there even are sources) where you can find PDFs of Big Finish scripts? I found a few over the years, but it'd be cool if we could have access to the scripts for all audio stories to handle things like spelling, direct quotes, specify more ambiguous aspects of the audio format, etc.

I’m passionate about movies and stories. I enjoy shows like Doctor Who. I’m invested in the stories and the characters so much. It’s a nice escapism for me when life is gets so tough. But I feel like lately like I’m constantly desiring more stories and more time with the characters I love to watch. I hate endings and I always fear that there won’t be any more stories with the characters I love. This leans to mostly towards something like Doctor Who more than anything else. There are so many characters that come and go, some sooner than others and I always seem to gravitate towards TARDIS teams that don’t have as many stories as other teams do. Like I'm a fan of TARDIS teams like:

• 5th Doctor, Adric, Nyssa and Tegan

• 5th Doctor, Tegan and Turlough

• 6th Doctor and Mel

• 1st Doctor, Steven and Dodo

• 1st Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Vicki

• 1st Doctor, Polly and Ben

• 3rd Doctor and Sarah Jane

• 11th Doctor and Clara

I enjoy stories that involve those sort of TARDIS teams that I have listed above and I'm totally grateful for Big Finish for making all the audio dramas over the years on Doctor Who expanding the lore and what not. But I feel like the number of stories involving my favourite TARDIS crews isn't as high compared to the amount of stories that have TARDIS teams like 3rd Doctor and Jo or 5th Doctor and Nyssa or 6th Doctor and Peri or 12th Doctor and Clara. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all of the characters and teams throughout Doctor Who's run. Thanks to the tv show and big finish, we have so many adventures now and it continues to grow to this day. But I desire to have my favourite TARDIS crews to be in as many stories as the others. I mean there are so many of the 5th Doctor and Nyssa and the 6th Doctor and Peri for example. I just wish there were just as many for the TARDIS teams I have listed above. Am I the only one who feels that way and does anyone know how I can deal with it because it's been on my mind for a while now?

My favorite is "Daughter of the Gods" from Big Finish.
