Asylum of the Daleks (TV story)

I'll be completely honest: this one's never worked for me and it's probably my least favourite episode Moffat ever did. I only mention this because otherwise the things I choose could look like extremely backhanded compliments. However, there are plenty of good moments. I really like the East-17 coats worn by the crew of the Alaska, and in terms of his self-imposed brief of "make the Daleks scary again", the most successful scene is when Rory is alone inside the Asylum, which does achieve a certain level of tension. Jenna Coleman—though I'm not overly fond of her character in this story—is fantastic, and the ending with the Daleks all shouting "Doctor Who?"... you can just imagine the smug smile Moffat had when he wrote that. I'll allow him that one!
