I don't like that it's six parts.

Don’t like how The Master just runs off not even out of the plot just the room and is not mentioned again until the Deadly Assassin. At least show him running into his TARDIS.

Tad long and a tiny bit repetitive. The Daleks' surprise appearance would work better if they hadn't been in Day of the Daleks the previous year. But that's not really this story's problem. Overall, it's definitely not the WORST this era has to offer. It sits firmly in the middle for me.

The world they set up in this story is absolutely phenomenal, I just wish they did more with it. If I could make one single change to Doctor Who's entire production history, I would have it so Planet of the Daleks didn't exist and that this story was the full 12 parter it was intended to be. Episode six just kind of hastily cobbles a conclusion together at the last moment that feels horrendously rushed and leaves the entire main conflict and multiple other plot threads of the story unresolved. It really feels like there was so much more of a story to tell here that never got fully explored in favour of giving the season a generic Dalek story that has absolutely nothing to do with this story despite supposedly continuing where it left off. It's just horribly disappointing.
