My guess would be that they'll basically ignore it come the next one. It is just a guess, but I'd be surprised if they saw the idea worth pursuing for the next Doctor.

Heck; I Only just heard about David Tennant being re-cast as the 14th Doctor months ago[about the time when Death battle had The 14th Doctor fighting Rick Sanchez; since Prior to that; I Didn't even know that Amy Schnieder even stopped being The Doctor; let alone the show having the same guy who was 10th Doctor also portray the 14th Doctor. . .(I Still don't understand WHY They re-used the same guy for 2 different incarnations of The Doctor; as far as What the In-universe reasons for The Doctor deciding to take a form similar to one of his Past incarnations)]

Also...though I dislike the concept by and large, I hope we get something to confirm or deny RTD's remark that it affected all past bodies of our hero.

I suspect big enervation will be a one-off. Maybe we’ll find out what’s going on with the 14th Doctor someday, but the Fifteenth Doctor will probably just turn into the 16th Doctor in a few years.
