It’s evident that we’ll be getting another return from UNIT this upcoming season, alongside their new Headquarters which we last saw in “The Giggle” @Kevin 'Chalky' Kaiba. It certainly looks to me as if this seasons arc will be “The Pit” and 15 & Ruby trying to prevent the universe falling into it, and as Millie’s reportedly only doing the one season maybe she’ll sacrifice herself in order to save the world from that fate based on her line about being here in order to save the world towards the trailers end. I have a feeling that 15’s “Everything is possible” is him telling her that there will be another way and she doesn’t have to sacrifice herself as he promised Carla (her foster mother) that he’d keep her safe in a heart to heart between them that was briefly shown at their family home in the trailer.
I really hate Millie’s line of “Oh my Bridgerton” I know that Regency looks to be set in the same time period but the line didn’t feel authentic to Ruby (He says when we’ve only seen her in one episode beforehand). As I’ve said before I have seen most of her shows and had Bridgerton been released in 2017 or 2018 I could see if they did an old timey but in modern day prom episode of Jamie Johnson it being perfectly natural for Indira Cave (Millie) to say “Oh my Bridgerton” but in all of her roles post that show such a line wouldn’t feel authentic to her characters of Lily Duffy in ITV Mini-Series Butterfly nor Kelly Neelan in Coronation Street much like it doesn’t work for her role as Ruby Sunday in Doctor Who in my eyes (I think Ruby is supposed to be a teen in DW but it doesn’t work for her or Kelly Neelan in Corrie as neither character seemed like a girly girl like Indira Cave in Jamie Johnson as weird as I sound — I’m not going to bring Lily Duffy into this debate as she was much more of a side character in Butterfly if memory serves correctly here).
I’m also confused is the Hocus Pocus looking lady played by Jinkx Monsoon and if so will her episode (I’ve looked up her pronouns and they are she / they, so I’m fine calling her she and there’s no need to have a go at me for getting her pronouns wrong as I haven’t. In fact I quite literally decided to look them up as I didn’t want anyone to have the ability to have a go at me for getting them wrong) have a similar theme to the Hocus Pocus movie franchise?
I also don’t understand why they are putting scenes from The Church on Ruby Road in the trailer as it’s already aired so teasing it feels pointless as the bits they chose from that don’t look as if they tie into anything new to me.
I do wonder as to whether or not Mrs Flood is a time lord or former companion as she looked confused when the Tardis left I the trailer or maybe something in the past wiped some of her memory as she seemed to know perfectly well what a Tardis was and what it could do in the post credit scene of the aforementioned TCORR. There’s also an episode set in the Prehistoric period (Before the Dinosaurs went extinct), which certainly does look interesting to me and I do wonder as to where they will wind up going with that episode.
