It wouldn’t make much of a difference because the animation budget and the tv series budget are two separate things

But what if they could put that money into the animations

I don’t know how much the animations cost, but I would imagine that the each episode of the TV show is significantly more expensive than the animations. Especially with the all the Disney money they have now, they could probably animate the rest of the missing episodes if they did that. It is obviously not possible though, since the money comes from different places.
