These two episodes hold a lot of fun moments. There's a lot to like in each, often thanks to the brilliant Sacha Dhawan. As much as I'm lukewarm to the concept of the character (and, obviously, I adored Michelle Gomez) I think the Master is a better fit for this era of Who than the Capaldi years. I like a lot about this story, but perhaps my favourite little touch is the obligatory casino scene, where Jodie's Doctor is playing snap instead of poker. Seeing quite how out of place this group looks in the circles of the elite is a delight, and Lenny Henry exudes menace as Barton (even if, for me, he still rarely looks like anything other than Lenny Henry). Akinola's spy theme is also a lot of fun. A good start.
