I'm a big fan of The Bells of Saint John, but my favourite of these is still The Abominable Snowmen. As a villain I think it's a bit lame, but it's a fun idea. TAS is just the best story overall IMO.

@Bruce Wayne of Earth-1 Do not fear - I don't hate the GI. I'm just not sure any of the stories have really used it to its full potential. For me nothing has come close to the majestic sinister-ness of Padmasambhava in TAS. (Man I love that story.)

Wow, I didn’t realise so many people disliked the Great Intelligence. I absolutely love it, I think it’s a great villain. My favourite has got to be ‘The Web of Fear’, but I love all of these stories (‘Name of the Doctor’ less so because of the whole Clara splinter thing). I’m also so happy they animated ‘The Abominable Snowmen’ - I never used to really like that one until they did, but now I love it.

It took me a second to remember what the Great Intelligence was! The episodes with it in weren’t bad, but the GI isn’t very memorable as a villain.
