@Najawin I disagree with his argument. Putting aside the slander towards Gatiss, I think the episode isn’t saying what he thinks it is at all. Charles Dickens ends the episode by accepting the existence of supernatural life and the Doctor and setting off with a more open mind. The Doctor’s arc in the series revolves around his moral dubiousness and becoming moral again. In this episode, he makes the right decision morally, but the consequences are negative anyway, something he couldn’t have perceived. In my opinion this fits perfectly with his arc; he’s losing faith in himself and this episode cements that for the episode Dalek.

And on top of that, I first watched this when I was around 10 and I didn’t pick up that messages at all. Immigrants and aliens never linked in my head. If you asked other kids who’ve seen the episode they probably wouldn’t make the connection either. The reason this guy saw it is because he was politically involved and looking for something like this. It’s a connection the episode doesn’t try to make you see at all, it’s one you force yourself to find after thorough searching.

First of all, in print its libel. Secondly, it's pretty clearly not even that. He's not accusing Gatiss of anything other than not thinking through the episode properly. If Miles is correct in his reading of this episode, which, sure, we can disagree on, this is the most charitable possible statement we can make about Gatiss. (And, of course, he believes what he's saying, so it's not libel.)

I'm not sure I agree with the reading myself. But it's a rather infamous perspective on the episode and it can't be discounted out of hand. It keeps coming up in the fanbase, with many people agreeing with it. (eg, check the replies to the tweet I'm linking. About half of them agree it's a reasonable reading.)

I'd agree with incorrect, perhaps even biased. Mad Larry isn't the most, uh, stable person. But I'm not sure I'd say poor.
