I definitely preferred NotD. I’ve never really loved Rose. I think the main problem with that is that it had to act as the pilot for a show that was already in its 27th season. It was important to introduce things like the TARDIS and the Doctor to new audiences, but since I was already a fan, I just wanted a more fully formed story about the Nestene invasion.

@Talon1105 Yes, but the POST-regeneration story for 9 is still 'Rose', because we see him being weird in Rose's flat, checking his appearance in a mirror and wondering if this new body can do card tricks. All of which indicates that he's newly regenerated.

Although Clive's photos disprove that.... I still can't figure that bit out.

^I think his newly-regenerated behaviour was mainly for the viewers - being the first of the revived series.

It was his first regeneration after the War Doctor and the Time War debacle, and it broke his mind. It's why he let JFK die instead of saving him, which is why he was at his assassination.
