I don't think any of the above can be answered/need an answer, certainly not on the show. This point is relevant to the first and last options, but bringing back companions to see what they've been up to is a nice idea and all, but how long until it becomes an overused gimmick?
Other Time Lords surviving the Time War is almost undeniable, I refuse to believe that the Doctor, the Master and Rassilon are the only ones left. Besides, just adding another Time Lord would answer that question, it's not as if it would need a whole episode or story arc dedicated to it.
The Doctor's age is redundant. What matters is who they choose to be and what they do, putting a specific number on that won't change a single thing.
Ian and Barbara not ageing isn't really a plotline that can be revisited on TV. Not only are Ian and Barbara way past being relevant to the plot, but with William Russell being much older and Jacqueline Hill no longer being with us, it would be immensely difficult to give answers to that on the show.
The only unanswered questions I'm concerned about the show bringing up are ones that are relevant to what is going on at the time, questions that relate to an ongoing plot thread. Unless they're the basis of an arc which will impact the show going forward (such as the debate of the Morbius Doctors being ended by The Timeless Children, the impact of which I don't imagine the Doctor's age or the eternal youth of Ian and Barbara would match), I think these long-past unanswered questions are best left to expanded media to deal with.
There was an audio that explained why Ian and Barbara might have never aged. There was also one that showed Ian as an old man.
Sorry to be pedantic, but do you mean ‘Did any other Time Lords escape the Time Lock? Because we know many Time Lords survived on Gallifrey in the pocket universe.
Well, until the Master destroyed Gallifrey again. Now most of the Time Lords who survived in the pocket universe are gone.
I mean were there Time Lords who weren't on Gallifrey when it was destroyed?
We already know that the Master escaped the time lock, I see no reason why other Time Lords couldn't have done the same thing, particularly ones with higher intellect like the Rani.
Companions' lives after the Doctor - the expanded media has fully fleshed out dozens of characters' life after the Doctor, most of them satisfactorily.
Did any Time Lords survive the Time War - while she isn't always a Time Lord, Iris Wildthyme certainly survived the Time War (if she participated in it, of course). She is in full knowledge of the Thirteenth Doctor, plus she's had interactions with characters from Nu-Who, so it's pretty clear, imo.
How old is the Doctor - well, the Doctor pretty much stated they've given up, due to how time itself is all over the place.
Ian and Barbara - a lot of stories have outright shown that they have aged.
As for the last one, I'm not sure exactly what you mean.
@Epsilon the Eternal I think it's an extension of the Ian and Barbara question, a theoretical idea that the TARDIS could have impacted other companions in the same way as Ian and Barbara not ageing.
What do you think?
