The way I see it is that it's ok to have preferences, we all do, it's only when you're making it political that it becomes an issue. Personally, I grew up with Eccleston and Tennant, and I understand being used to male Doctors as a result of that. At the same time, change is necessary to keep the show going and it was time for there to be a woman in the lead.

And don't worry about us thinking you're sexist, this was a well written and reasonable explanation of your feelings, and that's ok. I would also argue that her Doctor doesn't quite work because it's basically a retread of Tennant, who was probably in the top 3 TV Doctors.

But overall, Chibnall's writing is definitely a large part of the tonal and characterisation issues. The man was responsible for the worst of Torchwood, and he hasn't done much better on DW.

Don't force yourself to watch, with every long running programme there will be times you fall out of love with it, then something happens you like and you pick it up again. For me, I lost interest after Tom Baker left and then only came back for Sylvester McCoys last season because word was going round the series was ending. Like wise with NuWho I'm not an avid viewer after David Tennent departed.As for Jodie ,she's doing an okay job..

Don't worry, you don't have to like it! I'm not sexist, but I HATE Captain Marvel, but I still love Wonder Woman. It's just lousy writing, and it makes sense why someone wouldn't like it. I have mixed feelings on it myself.

I agree and it’s fine to think that! The writing definitely plays a huge Part in this! I personally am going to keep going just because I love the show in general!

With all incarnations it's normal to have preferences. Personally, I never like the first episode with a new Doctor because I find the attitude is always exaggerating (I'm talking about the NuWho). I always have to see the next two or three episodes to have a real opinion.

I remember liking David Tennant and Matt Smith quite quickly but taking longer to appreciate Peter Capaldi. Having a much more serious Doctor was too big a change for me at the time to accept quickly. Today I like the incarnation of Peter Capaldi but I couldn't say that he's my favorite Doctor. I quickly liked Jodie Whittaker because she reminds me of the 10th and 11th and an energetic Doctor is what I like and appreciate most.

The change of showrunner is always something you can feel in the episodes but I've never had a problem with that.

No it is not bad everyone has their own opinions and plus I dont blame you. I dont Jodie doctor, it's just to...realistic. doctor who needs a sense of madness and chaos and personally I dont think jodie brings that to doctor who. It will never be the same as people like David Tennant or Matt Smith or even Christopher eccleston, even tho most ppl didnt like Christopher but I rlly did.
