Amy and Rory

I once seen a video on YouTube before which I believe first came up with this theory, but I can’t find it. Anyway, the theory is that the Doctor is going up and down Amy and Rory’s time-stream back and forth, and there is a few things which could potentially support it:

The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe:

As with the rule that the Christmas special takes place in the same year as the series before if it takes place in the 21st century unless directly stated (Planet of the Dead onwards). The present day episodes of Series 6 takes place in 2011, March-April, but Amy says it’s been 2 years, meaning it’s either 2012 or 2013, 2012 as a rounding up by Amy, or 2 years and she’s rounding down. Since The Angels Take Manhattan takes place in 2012, unless the Doctor has taken Amy and Rory from the future to 2012, this potentially shows that the Doctor is going up and down Amy and Rory’s timeline.

Dinosaurs on a Spaceship:

When Rory says he doesn’t have a Christmas list anymore after talking to his dad, he says that he’s 31. The wiki states that he was born in 1989, which unless they are aging differently due to being on the TARDIS as they were full-time companions, this is personally stating that it takes place in 2020 when the Doctor materialises around Amy, Rory and Brian.

The Power of Three:

At one point in the episode, Amy says “You think it’s been ten years. Not for you, or for Earth, but for us, ten years for us of you. On and off.” The part I’m interested in is on and off. We know that they left the TARDIS the first time in The God Complex but after that they stayed as part-time companions till the end of this episode, since they were on and off, the Doctor could have potentially visited them in the wrong order, Dinosaurs has to take place after Asylum as they mention the divorce but Town could take place anywhere between Pond Life 1 and Asylum but Power of Three directly shows us a follow up to a mention in A Town Called in Mercy implying that part takes place not too long after.

Pond Life 2 (May):

This actually shows us that this is happening, as the Doctor materialises the TARDIS in Amy and Rory’s seemingly trying to recruit them to stop the spaceship that’s hurtling towards Earth in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, but he says that he’s too early and heads off again. This actually tells us that the Doctor is tiring up in the wrong order, but the Doctor tells us that this is completely accidental as there the helmic regulators aren’t working but part of the theory is that it isn’t completely accidentally or even intentionally but this shows us otherwise.

I don’t know if the theory on the YouTube video I saw said this or not, this was technically a way to save Amy and Rory from the Angels zapping them back in time as he could just say this to the past selves of Amy and Rory, but it would either create a paradox or an alternate timeline, but the Doctor doesn’t want to disrupt time, but another part of this which may or may not be my addition is that the Doctor went to an earlier version of Rory and Amy and said that he can’t travel with them, but they’ll travel with him and see him soon, but he won’t give any details as to why, as he doesn’t want to disrupt time and that he respects Amy’s decision to stay with Rory in 1930’s New York even though there is a way out, as even if he creates another alternate timeline in which they survive, that timelines Amy and Rory would still be dead and that when he did this was before or after The Bells of Saint John prequel as he is wearing clothes very similar to one which he wore when he travelled with Rory and Amy and that he was wearing the purple coats with Clara.

Please tell me what you guys personally think about this theory!

I realize Halloween is in 9 months but

Does anyone know where I could find the outfit for 10 inexpensively? I’ve tried Amazon but everything is really costly. (I live in Canada if that helps)

Nestene Consciousness theory

Hi, I've just been binging Matt Smith's era and I've come up with a theory: what if The Flesh is an earlier version of the Nestene consciousness?
EDIT: Some evidence to support this is in The Rebel Flesh when the doctor says that "Only living things grow", this could be hinting towards it becoming the Nestene Consciousness further down the evolutionary line

Anyone know where I can get some Dr Who action figures? Can't find any (Australia) and really want them to be put on my collection. Anything would do, but prefer 10th, 11th doctors, Daleks, Cybermen, Vastha Nerada (butchered the spelling) and any other cool figures from the 10th 11th doctors time. Thanks!

Doctor Who Novels

Hello fellow Whovians, I’m trying to get into the Doctor Who novels and I’m not sure where to start. So far, some novels that sound interesting are The Day of the Doctor Target Novelization, Scratchman by Tom Baker, and a Barnes and Noble exclusive of The Silent Stars Go By and Touched by an Angel. What are your opinions on these choices and do you have any other suggestions on what to get?

Millennium Who Collection Complete (For Now), Fellow Whovians!

My BRILLIANT husband picked me up from work today and said, "Meet me in the Entertainment section (I work at a Target). I have something that I want to show you."

He showed me something BRILLIANT! There in his hand was Series Eleven on Blu-ray!

So now I have EVERY episode of the rebooted Doctor Who!

Now I can finally get in on the conversations about Graham, Ryan, Yaz and The Thirteenth Doctor!

Tips for sourcing clothes for an Empty Child cosplay?

I'm not sure what category to put this in, so I'll just put it here.

As I'm sure some of you are aware, World Book Day is coming up, and my school has an annual dress-up day for it - I've decided to come in as the Empty Child.

I've managed to source a gas mask, but I'm having trouble finding a coat mainly. It's pretty easy to find the other stuff; you just get a shirt, a vest jumper, shorts, socks and boots, but I feel like the coat has got to be just right to really pull the outfit together. I've been considering just buying a WWII evacuee costume, but only as a last resort.

I'm not sure what to search to find a coat that looks right, but everything I've seen has been really expensive. The gas mask itself is 15 quid, so I reckon I'll only be able to spend 10~15 on the jacket (I'm hoping to source the rest from friends/family or things I already own). Does anyone know anywhere in the UK where I could find one, or any good alternatives that would look at least halfway authentic?

Thanks in advance!

It took me 7 months, but I’m finally caught up with NuWho! There wasn’t a single episode I didn’t like in some way or another, which is nice!

Lines you wish the Doctor would say/had said...

Do you ever have times when you're watching an episode or just a series of Doctor Who and wished the Doctor had said something - either as a reference/throwback to another episode, because you think it'd be funny/interesting, etc.

I'll start us off.

Episode: 'Arachnids in the UK'

13th Doctor: "I've been to a planet of giant spiders before - just be thankful these ones aren't telepathic!"

What about you guys?

I’m 20 minutes into The Doctor Falls

And Bill being so angry and upset about being a Cyberman... I’m actually crying. Presumably this is her exit as a companion, and if so, this is the saddest companion exit I’ve ever seen.

The doctor is a hypocrite

He says that if you time travel to stop a action you won't do it in the past and it won't happen but in Doty he saves gallifrey but his younger selves never know to save gallifrey so my question is is it still there and why
